The Pupil Transportation Safety Institute (PTSI) is an FMCSA Registered Training Provider (TPR). Our online theory class, which includes the Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) Endorsements, is a convenient and effective method to satisfy the Theory part of the ELDT training requirements. However, trainers from all over are asking us how to comply with the range and road parts of the regulation. Based on the volume of inquires we received, we decided to create this user-friendly guide for performing the Range and Road portions of the ELDT mandate.
The ELDT Range & Road Complete Trainer's Manual includes both parts 2 and 3 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) program.
This guide will include not only the ELDT required aspects of behind-the-wheel training on a range and roadway but also additional training techniques to allow your training to be comprehensive as well as compliant with FMCSA training requirements.
PTSI’s ELDT Range & Road Trainer’s Guide is school bus specific and includes the following:
This product meets ELDT required aspects of behind-the-wheel training on a range and roadway, however, all state and/or local guidelines should always be followed.
Although PTSI is a Registered Training Provider with the FMCSA, we currently only provide and record the Online Theory portion of ELDT. This product is solely intended for other TPRs to purchase and use as their Range and Road portion of the ELDT training. PTSI DOES NOT offer this as an in-person training.
