The Pupil Transportation Safety Institute (PTSI) is an FMCSA Registered Training Provider (TPR). Our online theory class, which includes the Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) Endorsements, is a convenient and effective method to satisfy the Theory part of the ELDT training requirements. However, trainers from all over are asking us how to comply with the range and road parts of the regulation. Based on the volume of inquires we received, we decided to create this user-friendly guide for performing the Range and Road portions of the ELDT mandate.

The ELDT RANGE Trainer's Manual (this product) is included in the ELDT Range & Road Complete Trainer's Manual (product #6006), however we understand you may have more than one Trainer at your school or facility. PTSI is offering just the Range Trainer's guide as a replacement or for retaining multiple copies for use by multiple Trainers.

This purchase includes ONLY THE RANGE part of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) program.

PTSI’s ELDT RANGE Trainer’s Guide is school bus specific and includes the following:

• Weatherproof paper to protect your investment
• Trainer’s guide for setting up the obstacle course for the closed range training
• Listing of what skills to look for in each skill test
• Trainer coaching suggestions and how to perform each skill test
• Driver proficiency is defined for each skill
• Flexible spiral binding for easy Trainer handling on the range

This product meets ELDT required aspects of behind-the-wheel training on a range and roadway, however, all state and/or local guidelines should always be followed.

Although PTSI is a Registered Training Provider with the FMCSA, we currently only provide and record the Online Theory portion of ELDT. This product is solely intended for other TPRs to purchase and use as their Range and Road portion of the ELDT training. PTSI DOES NOT offer this as an in-person training.
